“What Moves us... Does the Magic" and Other Stories on Wisdom

Mini Stories on Wisdom and Life

“What moves us... does the magic"

"I meditated for one hour yesterday. But I found no peace. My mind is still cluttered with thoughts. How do I find peace and magic you talk about?” she asked him.

"I will tell you a new way of meditation, "Love meditation". It is simple. Just take few pictures of someone you wholeheartedly love, your nephew for example. Look at the pics with love and smile at them. Get completely absorbed in the moments you have spent together. Feel love and peace entering each cell of your body. And you will find more than peace. You will find magic and Nirvana.” he replied.

"Is it that simple?” she asked.

"Yes. And sometimes you can look at our pictures too if you are not scared of falling in love with me once again", he joked.

"Look like an Angel"

"Light fluorescent colours suit you the most. You look absolutely like an", he said and paused.

"Why can't you compliment properly? Can't you say that I look like an angel?” she asked.

"That is what I was planning to say. And then rang the words of Elvis Presley in my ears. "Look like an angel. Talk like an angel. Walk like an angel. You the devil in disguise. Oh yes you are....” he replied.

Alas, his tenure as hummingbird did not last too long. She took hold of the pillow and then came the end of the song.

The Human Connection

"Why does one connect with some people in seconds and with some even a lifetime is not enough?” she asked him.

"Kahin to ye dil kabhi mil nahin paate. Kahin pe nikal aayein janmon ke naate" (with some people the hearts never connect and with some you discover a past birth connection), he replied.

"No poetry and philosophy please. Tell me the answer", she insisted.

"Someone has rightly said,'However affectionate and open you try to be, people can meet you only as deeply as they have met themselves", he answered with a mystic smile.

"Yessss.. you have given a wise answer after a long time though the wisdom is still borrowed", she left no opportunity to tease him.
